Dan’s Story
Dan Hood's journey to creating IHF Health Club is one of resilience, determination, and transformation. From a young age, Dan faced significant challenges. Losing his father early in life and leaving home at 15, he found himself spiraling into unhealthy habits and self-destructive choices. Kicked out of school and struggling with depression, his lifestyle led him to peak at 120kg while navigating various trades without a sense of purpose or direction.
Hitting rock bottom was a turning point. A series of moments jolted Dan into confronting the need for change. He realised he was living without self-love or inner fulfillment. This awakening drove him to immerse himself in fitness and nutrition. What started as a personal mission to reclaim his health turned into an obsession with bodybuilding and transformation. Dan went from 120kg to a lean 68kg and even competed in a bodybuilding show—a pivotal moment where he realised the power of the mind to overcome any obstacle. This idea of "healthy body, healthy mind" became his mantra.
Dan’s entrepreneurial spirit was sparked on that bodybuilding stage, where he envisioned combining his passion for fitness with a business model that could inspire and serve others. He launched an online nutrition business and, in 2016, opened Ironhood Fitness. His innovative thinking led to introducing elements like macro smoothie bars, towel services, and complementary beauty tools, identifying a market gap that set him apart.
Fast-forward five years, and IHF Health Club was born—an all-encompassing health and wellness space designed to be a one-stop shop for fitness enthusiasts and those seeking a healthier lifestyle and Everyday Luxury. Dan’s vision has made IHF a standout destination, offering not just workouts but a community that fosters physical, mental, and emotional growth.
Dan's story is a testament to his belief that no matter the obstacles life throws at you, anything is possible with time, dedication, and patience. Today, he continues to challenge himself to grow both personally and professionally, with an unrelenting drive to bring his visions to life.
Dan's belief: “Don’t be fearful in anything in life—what’s the worst that can happen?”
